History of the Firm

First generation

The Law Firm was founded on 21 January 1910 by Attorney-at-Law, Lic. Jur, Master's Degree in Law, Niels Gangsted-Rasmussen's paternal grandfather, law graduate and Attorney-at-Law R.N. Rasmussen of Stormgade 20, Copenhagen, Denmark.

R.N. Rasmussen was involved in land development in Søborg and on Amager.

Second generation

Following R.N. Rasmussen's death in 1943, the firm was continued by his son, Supreme Court Attorney-at-Law Ole Gangsted-Rasmussen.

Ole Gangsted-Rasmussen was involved in residential properties for rent and owner-occupied apartment properties.

In 1973, the firm moved from Stormgade 20 to Gammeltorv 6 "Stellings Hus" designed by Architect Arne Jacobsen.

Third generation

In 1985, Niels Gangsted-Rasmussen took over the Law Firm.

As well as properties for rent and owner-occupied apartment properties, Niels Gangsted-Rasmussen has been extensively involved in commercial property.

Fourth generation

Fourth generation Attorney-at-Law Christian Gangsted-Rasmussen has worked as an Attorney-at-Law at the Gangsted-Rasmussen Law Firm since 1 October 2000.

From January 2010, Gangsted-Rasmussen was structured as an Attorney-at-Law practice for the purpose of future development and growth. The ownership circle expanded and the management divided into functions on the basis of the partners' competences and experience.
